Site Launch!
Hi Everyone! This is the first blog post on my new website, Dalichrome, a place to host all my work in a way that I hope to make accessible and shareable! The name 'Dalichrome' is a blend of 'Dali' (for Salvador Dali, one of my favorite artists) and 'polychrome' (multi-colored or, in my case, multi-faceted). With 'chrome' also being a nod to technology, I thought it was very befitting for a site showcasing my work in tech and art!
Current Contents
What's on the website right now is a lot of figure drawing art and some pixel art. I added them a test of the portfolio page I made and it seems to be looking just about as I hoped so don't be shy and check that out. It is definitely more interesting and visually appealing than this post. Alongside the art, I’ve also published a post about a lighting system I developed in Unity—check it out if you’re interested into game dev's nitty gritty.
The Future
I'm definitely planning on writing more blogs, I think its a great way to share information and advertise one's technical expertise at the same time. But blogging and writing at large isn't something that I'm very skilled at but I think gradually I'll improve hopefully so don't be reticent to leave constructive criticism in the comments.
I plan to add a dedicated section for the products and projects I’ve created or contributed to. Since a lot of my projects are still works in-progress, I’ve prioritized getting the portfolio and blog up first. But, if you want to check out something cool I've actually finished, check out my itch.io or my github.
So, stay tuned, and don't forget to join the mailing list for updates. Just don't all subscribe at once; I can only send up to 100 emails a day...for now!
