Internet Manager v1.3.0 - Retrovoucher Update

Internet Manager gets a major new update that adds 'retrovouchers' and much more

Internet Manager v1.3.0 - Retrovoucher Update

Hello People! My Internet Manager application just got a new update from 1.2.0 to 1.3.0, adding some highly requested features (sarcasm) plus some fun extras.

v1.3.0 Patch Notes

Features

  • Retrovoucher (Configurable)
    • A new voucher can now drop from loot boxes. It can turn the internet back on via the GUI after the internet is shut off, and it skips all scheduled shutdowns for the whole night. It’s much more powerful than the normal voucher.
  • Tamper resistance
    • The Internet Manager server hides/obscures itself in Task Manager so you can’t easily end-task it. The program has an uninstaller and an override button that turns the internet back on (but resets your streak). So there are plenty of options to restore internet, but this feature is intended to make it harder to bypass the intended usage.
  • CLI Utility Exe (No more kill server exe)
    • There used to be an EXE that would instantly kill the server; that’s no longer the case. The CLI exe now does all the operations I need without exposing them to users, closing another easy loophole for bypassing the server.
  • Custom Backgrounds and Watermarks
    • The files must be named 'watermark.png' or 'background.png' and you place them in the 'custom' folder at your install directory. An example pic is below!
  • New Loot Box Art
  • Quick open/hide for loot

Changed

  • New EULA License

Bugs Fixed

  • Server will boot into the correct state after using a voucher and shutting down
  • Server and GUI lootbox counter desync should be fixed

Known Issues

  • I've seen that using a retrovoucher after the internet is off can sometimes make the button enter a strange state, I cannot reproduce it consistently, so if you see this let me know!

Malware Accusations

Yes, this program makes itself harder to end-task and harder to close. Does it do anything other than turn your local internet on and off? No — it does not. And when I say “local,” I mean it literally only turns off the internet on the computer it’s installed on.

The bottom line: this is a program I made for myself and friends who wanted to get off their computer and get better sleep, not a virus. So I won’t stand for these accusations — especially from the AI I tasked with reading my posts and fixing grammar, which keeps acting concerned as if I’m releasing an internet-management plague onto the open web.

And YES, silly AI: my patch notes do come off as combative. Gotta add some zest to these things. No one reads the paragraphs that accompany patch notes anyway! But yes, it’s kind of malware-y, so if that bothers you, do not use it. Thanks!

The Future

As for other posts and news: I haven’t been idle since October. There’s been a lot of new development, and I’m not quite ready to make promises about blog posts and such — but I’m extremely excited for what 2026 has in store for Dalichrome!
